PEREGRINE

Reaching recorded speeds of up to 150 km/h (95 mph), the peregrine is the worl's fastest bird.As a raptor, or bird of prey, iit has been valued for centuries, not only for its sleek beauty,but also because it can be trained by farcones to catch birds and mammals.the peregrine is found in many parts of  the world and its habitat is varied : it even nestson the ledges of city skysrapers.its name comes from the lating word 'wanderer'and reflects the bird's ability to migrate up to 1,600 km (1,000 miles) to spend winter in a warmer climate.
